WYC Cruising Club

* The Waikiki Yacht Club recently formed a Cruising Club, open to power and sail boaters alike, as well as to club members who don’t own a boat but who love the water. Its mission is to get club members and their boats out on the water by participating in a variety of activities that appeal to those with varied levels of boating interest and experience.

Throughout the year cruises include a short tour of Honolulu Harbor, which is normally closed to pleasure boaters, a Predicted Log Contest, held between Diamond Head and Honolulu Harbor, a lunch cruise to Hawaii Kai, a weekend at Iroquois Point, and an inter-island cruise to Molokai.

The WYC Cruising Club has an application form that should be completed to join the club. Membership is not required to participate in the cruising activities, but the Cruising Club Chair maintains communication with the cruising members regarding upcoming events. Those participating in the cruising events may also want to refer to the Standing Cruising Instructions.
