"three little escort boats, sitting in a row"....
well... "little" doesn't quite fit for Ladie Sadie, here in the middle
but she made for a just dandy 'mother ship', eh?
looking over at the rest of the escort fleet
we can see the reel action - the night's 'festivities'...
are about to get underway
as the sun goes down on Hale O Lono, the canoes are
all rigged up and ready to rock n roll in the morning
the next morning, the ladies are bright eyed and bushy-tailed
while those of us who spent the night aboard the boats
are mostly bleary-eyed and bushy-faced ;)
the line-up at 0724 HST - eye had the start at 0725
time provided by The US Navy Master Clock,
tho I'm guessin mine was right, officially it was 0727...
what you'll see from here is mostly gonna be Waikiki YC's crews...
since ole lektrode is somewhat partial to these wahines
and since he hangs out at Waikiki YC - he better be, eh? ;)
not sure what was happnin here??.. but the steersgal was jumpin up and down
kinda like "pumping" a windsurfer, eh?
now here's a sight you don't see every day...
WYC's Skip Winterbottom on the back of a power boat??
in a canoe race???... WHOA!!!... hey!
guess retirement from HPD is beginning to feel really good, eh Skip?
Inter-Island Sportfishing's Flagship - Mike DeRego's Maggie Joe
Mike provides ole lektrode with them position reports that get sent
to the Outrigger Mailing List during these Moloka`i races
and ole lektrode gets this special-kine treatment because
he keeps Maggie Joe's electrical systems a'buzzin...
need an electical system for your boat?
